Welcome

Tuberculosis Research Welcome to the EQUI-TB Knowledge Programme Website.

The purpose of the programme is to promote the implementation of pro-poor strategies, which enhance care and support for TB among the poorest.

This year, more people will die of tuberculosis than in any other year in history and it disproportionately affects the poor. Tuberculosis kills around 2 million people each year, mostly in Developing Countries.

The purpose of this website is to provide information on the programme and a set of resources for programme partners and third parties interested in the work of EQUI-TB.

The EQUI-TB core funding is from the UK's Department for International Development and the Programme is co-ordinated from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, affiliated to the University of Liverpool.
